Understanding Costs

In-Home Family childcare providers are considered self-employed. Most growing self-employed businesses can build benefits into their operating costs; health insurance, worker’s compensation, disability pay, social security benefits, retirement plans, unemployment insurance, hiring employees and still operate while others are on vacation.


Most employees enjoy these benefits or a combination of some of these as part of their employment package.


There is little room for expansion and growth that would help cover these benefits. I work alone and hire assistants as needed.


Holidays and personal days are one of the few benefits I can enjoy and are a way to refresh myself and care for myself so that I may provide the best care for your child. 

Any and all unexpected closures for any reasons will use up vacation/personal time first then credit will be applied.
